The SHSU Kat Post is seeking a reliable and motivated student assistant to join our team for the upcoming academic year. This position provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional mail services environment while supporting the campus community.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Facilitate incoming and outgoing mail transactions
  • Sort, organize, and distribute mail and packages
  • Deliver student packages to smart lockers
  • Perform routine errands across campus as needed
  • Assist with general duties to support postal operations
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Capable of lifting and carrying mail and packages
  • Comfortable performing physical tasks, including walking across campus
Qualifications:
  • Must be a currently enrolled SHSU student
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
