SENIOR TRANSPORTATION... Do you have a valid driver's license, insurance, and access to a vehicle? Are you at least 21 years of age?

Do you want to give back to the community?

Do you have a passion for helping others?

The Senior Services Transportation Program of Elgin is seeking Kane County residents willing to give back to the community, and put their time to valuable use. Volunteers use their personal vehicles to transport homebound seniors aged 60 years and older to doctor visits and legal appointments. Under the AmeriCorps umbrella, volunteers determine their service perimeters based on availability. Our Agency offers back-up automobile insurance, and volunteers can choose to be reimbursed for gas mileage. Drivers must be 21 years of age or older, have a valid driver’s license, carry valid auto insurance, and consent to a background check. Mileage reimbursement available!.
