Team Kalo has grown its ownership of Jersey Mike’s Subs restaurant franchises to 68 stores located across Florida, Georgia, and Alabama. Its goal is to reach 75 units by the end of 2024. In 2022 Kalo expanded to two brands welcoming Slim Chickens to the Kalo Companies portfolio. Opening the first location in Tallahassee on Monroe St. Slim Chickens has expanded and grown to include two locations in Tallahassee and five additional across the panhandle of Florida.

Team Kalo, which employs almost 1000 people, owns and operates each of its locations and through its management company, Kalo Restaurant Group, LLC (KRG), provides the management, operational and administrative support for all of its locations. Team Kalo is building on its past success and expanding its own footprint throughout the southeast.

About the Role:

As a Crew Member, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth daily operations within our establishment. Your primary focus will be to engage with customers in a friendly and efficient manner, taking orders accurately and preparing products to meet quality standards. You will collaborate closely with team members to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for both customers and staff. This position requires adaptability to fast-paced settings and a commitment to upholding company policies and procedures. Ultimately, your contributions will directly impact customer satisfaction and the overall success of the business.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and team members.
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions and cash register operations.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in customer service or food service environments.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and cash handling procedures.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Bilingual abilities to assist a diverse customer base.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using the point-of-sale system.
  • Prepare and assemble food and beverage items according to company standards and health regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, dining space, and restrooms throughout the shift.
  • Assist in receiving and stocking inventory to ensure availability of supplies.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely service during peak hours.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve minor issues promptly and professionally.
  • Adhere to all safety, sanitation, and operational guidelines to maintain a safe environment.
