2nd and 3rd Shift Maintenance Tech
Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking aMaintenance Tech. In this role, you will be responsible for performing skilled repairs to the building/equipment, and to always maintain the best possible conditions, with the least amount of inconvenience to the guests. As part of our leadership team, you'll embody our Promise to Lead with Love-guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. You'll respond quickly to maintenance requests and perform preventive repairs to help create a seamless guest experience free from disruptions. Your work behind the scenes directly contributes to the resort's reputation for excellence and ensures every visit feels welcoming and worry-free.
Key Responsibilities
  • Make repairs and maintain resort and condominium rooms to include but not limited to: programming televisions, replacing light switches, receptacles, light bulbs and fixtures, furniture repair, minor plumbing repairs (clogged drains, copper pipe, change washers, change handles, drain fittings, etc.), repair water lines, test-clean-repair swimming pools and spas, paint designated areas, repair and finish sheet rock, repair all types of wall coverings, and repair and program hotel electronic lock systems.
  • Ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service at all times.
  • Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the manufacturer's preventative maintenance programs.

What We're Looking For
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and one year of experience performing general handyman work (basic carpentry, minor electrical/HVAC/plumbing, painting, furniture repair, etc.). Trade School and/or College course work in related field helpful.
  • Previous experience working in the hospitality industry is preferred, but not required
  • A leadership style rooted in collaboration, respect, and service to others.
