Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Process Improvement & Governance Manager to oversee the development, implementation, and enforcement of IT policies, procedures, internal controls, and audit-related activities.

The role will involve reviewing existing policies and procedures that may require revision or retirement, identifying gaps, and developing new policies, procedures, and controls to effectively evaluate, mitigate, and manage business risk.

The successful candidate will collaborate with executive leadership and key stakeholders to develop and implement governance documentation and process improvements. This individual will also develop IT communication programs, coordinate communication initiatives, and establish appropriate measures to evaluate their effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, review, and enforce IT policies, procedures, standards, and internal controls.
  • Evaluate existing policies and procedures and recommend revisions, updates, or retirement where appropriate.
  • Identify gaps and opportunities for new policies, procedures, controls, and governance processes.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and stakeholders to develop and issue governance documentation.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and document key process requirements.
  • Perform business process modeling and management using Microsoft Visio.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis, value-stream mapping, and process improvement assessments.
  • Lead or support Kaizen, Continuous Improvement (CI), and process improvement initiatives.
  • Apply Lean methodologies, including waste elimination, 5S, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), flow optimization, and error proofing.
  • Develop and implement process improvement strategies designed to increase efficiency, quality, and operational effectiveness.
  • Support internal controls, compliance activities, and audit-related initiatives.
  • Develop IT communication programs and messaging based on organizational priorities and themes.
  • Coordinate communication initiatives and measure their effectiveness and success.
  • Manage projects, timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Prepare concise, insightful reports and presentations for leadership.
  • Work with stakeholders at all organizational levels to identify issues and implement practical solutions.
  • Independently prioritize tasks and manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Provide leadership, coordination, and guidance to process improvement teams.
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • 12+ years of professional experience, preferably in IT process improvement, governance, compliance, or related areas.
  • 6+ years of experience in Compliance.
  • 6+ years of experience in Policy and Strategy Development.
  • 6+ years of Project Management experience.
  • 6+ years demonstrating advanced communication skills.
  • Strong experience with Business Process Modeling and Management.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Visio for process mapping.
  • Experience creating and documenting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Strong understanding of internal controls, governance, policies, and procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean methodologies and Continuous Improvement practices.
  • Experience with root-cause analysis and value-stream mapping.
  • Experience leading Kaizen or Continuous Improvement events and teams.
  • Strong project management, coordination, and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop, motivate, and foster teamwork.
