What does a typical workday look like for a Kaiser RN, and how do they interact with patients and the healthcare team?

A typical workday for a Kaiser RN involves direct patient care activities such as assessments, medication administration, care planning, and health education, while maintaining accurate documentation in the EHR. RNs routinely collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, social workers, and support staff to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity across departments. The environment is often fast-paced, emphasizing teamwork and patient-centered care, with opportunities for nurses to participate in quality improvement initiatives. This collaborative structure allows RNs to develop professionally and contribute to better patient outcomes within Kaiser Permanente’s integrated care model.
