Summary

This VP, Sales position is responsible for leading the growth strategy and revenue generation efforts for KAG Logistics. This role will develop and execute commercial plans that drive new business opportunities, expand customer relationships, and support the company's strategic objectives. The VP, Sales will lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing sales organization while collaborating across the business to deliver transportation and logistics solutions that create value for customers and sustainable growth for KAG Logistics.

Responsibilities
  • Own revenue growth and business development strategy for KAG Logistics.
  • Develop and execute growth initiatives that align with company objectives and revenue targets.
  • Recruit, hire, manage, develop, and mentor business development and sales professionals.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual business goals.
  • Direct market segmentation efforts, target customer selection, and ideal customer profile strategy.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers.
  • Lead sales planning, pipeline development, forecasting, and business development activities.
  • Oversee CRM utilization, data integrity, reporting accuracy, and sales process compliance.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Executive Leadership to support customer growth and ensure successful service execution.
  • Develop strategic partnerships and identify new business opportunities to expand KAG Logistics' service offerings.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience leading and developing high-performing sales and business development teams.
  • Demonstrated track record of driving revenue growth and acquiring new business.
  • 10+ years of leadership experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain, or a related industry.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience developing and executing strategic growth plans.
  • Ability to analyze performance metrics and utilize data to drive business decisions.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and leadership capabilities.
Other
  • Ability to travel extensively as required.
  • Preferred locations include the Canton, Akron, Cleveland, or Columbus, Ohio markets. Consideration will also be given for candidates in PA, Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, and Houston.
  • Multimodal transportation experience, particularly bulk transportation, preferred.
  • Managed Transportation, Brokerage, or Enterprise Logistics sales experience a plus.
  • Experience selling both asset-based and logistics-based transportation solutions preferred.
