Position: Guidewire PolicyCenter Technical Architect

Location: Hartford, CT – Onsite

Duration: 12+ Months

Job description:

Technical Skills (Primary, must have):

·       Should have more than 12 years of experience in Guidewire Policy Center

·       Strong experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter Cloud Configuration Integration Rating Engine product model configuration and GOSU Script development

·       Extensive experience in Guidewire integration mechanisms Data model Rules Configurations Admin data management Performance monitoring and tuning Guidewire application configuration clustering database configurations

·       ACE Guidewire Certification in PolicyCenter is required

·       Experience in building G units is required

·       Strong experience in any JVM technologies or surrounding ecosystem e.g., Java 8 J2EE XML SOAP REST SQL PLSQL Spring Hibernate any Application Server any Enterprise Messaging System

·       Experience in web technologies like Servlets JSP JDBC Web Services HTML CSS JavaScript

·       Experience in data modeling and RDBMS Experience with SQL PLSQL and usage of SQL Developer or similar tools

·       In depth knowledge in coding standards review process branching and merging strategies DevOps and Guidewire best practices

·       Experience implementing at least one project in Guidewire PolicyCenter from concept to release

·       Experience with Agile development methodologies Well versed with OOTB PolicyCenter functionalities

Key Responsibilities:

·       Lead the Business architecture and design of Guidewire PolicyCenter solutions ensuring alignment with business requirements and best practices

·       Develop and implement strategies for migrating legacy products to Guidewire Cloud including data migration integration and system configuration

·       Collaborate with cross functional teams including developers’ business analysts and project managers to ensure successful project delivery

·       Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement Conduct thorough assessments of existing systems and processes identifying areas for optimization and improvement Ensure compliance with industry standards security protocols and regulatory requirements throughout the migration process

·       Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues providing timely and effective solutions

·       Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in Guidewire technology and cloud computing

Technical Skills Secondary (Nice to have Skills, NOT MANDATORY):

·       Ability to learn quickly and independently

·       Strong and innovative approach to problem solving and finding solutions

·       Excellent communicator written and verbal formal and informal

·       Flexible and proactive self-motivated working style with strong personal ownership of problem resolution
