Job description

Role Overview

We are seeking a Network Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and optimize our organization's network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability, security, and performance across all network systems while collaborating with cross functional teams to support business operations. 

Key Responsibilities:
   Design, implement, and improve network solutions, including LAN/WAN, cloud, and wireless systems. 
   Install, configure, and support network equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls, VPN gateways, and load balancers. 
   Monitor network performance, troubleshoot outages, and optimize system efficiency. 
   Configure and maintain firewalls, routing, and switching to ensure secure and efficient data flow. 
   Implement and maintain network security policies, including access control, intrusion detection, and patching. 
   Perform scheduled upgrades, maintain documentation, and ensure compliance with best practices. 
   Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and security teams to support integrations and organizational initiatives. 

Preferred Qualifications:
   3+ years of hands on experience with Cisco/Juniper networking hardware. 
   Experience with patch panels, CAT5e and CAT6 cabling
   Knowledge of and experience with building and campus cabling
   Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, and routing protocols. 
   Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds). 
   Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and communicate solutions clearly.
