Job description

ROLE SUMMARY

The UX Designer is Marketing's design partner within IT, owning the user experience of ON.energy's public website and campaign pages, and carrying that same brand standard into SharePoint intranet sites and internal business applications. This role turns marketing goals and user needs into polished, accessible, conversion-focused design, and supports delivery with general business analysis work such as requirements gathering and workflow documentation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead design of the ON.energy public website, landing and campaign pages, and conversion paths - producing wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and specs that advance brand and campaign objectives.
  • Serve as Marketing's day-to-day design partner, working with content, campaign, and web development resources on navigation, page templates, AEO/SEO-friendly structure, accessibility, and mobile responsiveness.
  • Use site analytics, campaign performance, and usability findings to recommend improvements that lift engagement and conversion.
  • Extend the brand into SharePoint and intranet applications, IT service experiences, knowledge hubs, request forms, and employee-facing workflows.
  • Simplify complex processes through clear interface design and practical patterns across custom applications, dashboards, portals, and low-code business solutions.
  • Conduct user research, stakeholder interviews, usability reviews, and journey mapping; document requirements, process flows, and acceptance criteria for IT and business projects.
  • Develop and maintain reusable UI patterns, style guidance, and design system components across digital properties.
  • Collaborate with teams on feasible, accessible implementations and communicate design rationale to technical and non-technical audiences.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of UX, UI, or web design experience, with a portfolio of marketing websites and campaign work alongside portals, intranets, or business applications.
  • Proficiency with Figma or comparable design and prototyping tools.
  • Strong grasp of responsive design, accessibility, information architecture, interaction design, and usability principles.
  • Experience working directly with marketing teams on brand, content, and campaign execution, plus IT, developers, and business stakeholders, including gathering and documenting requirements.
  • Ability to translate ambiguity into clear design direction and implementation-ready specifications.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience designing for B2B, energy, infrastructure, construction, or SaaS industries.
  • SharePoint intranet design, design systems, component libraries, or low-code business applications.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, CMS platforms, SEO, web performance, and WCAG accessibility standards.

CORE COMPETENCIES

  • User-Centered Design - Balances user needs with business goals and technical constraints.
  • Brand & Visual Communication - Applies and protects brand standards across every digital touchpoint.
  • Systems Thinking - Designs reusable patterns that scale across platforms.
  • Collaboration & Problem Solving - Works across Marketing, IT, and business teams to simplify complex workflows.
  • Ownership & Initiative - Drives work forward with accountability and attention to detail.
