Job Summary:
Georgia IT, Inc. is seeking a Frontend Developer with a focus on Java technologies. The role involves developing and enhancing user interfaces, utilizing JavaScript frameworks, and ensuring best practices in UI design.
Responsibilities:
• The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time.
• Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face.
• Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 4 years of experience with Information Technology.
Preferred:
• JavaScript - Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.
• Familiarity with newer specifications of TypeScript / ECMAScript (ES6).
• Framework experience - Candidates must have JavaScript Framework experience – React/Redux/Angular 2 / 4 / 5. Must have the ability to look at a framework and get up to speed quickly if no hands on experience.
• UI Experience - The ideal candidate will understand UI best practices and have prior usability experience. Should have an eye for design.
• Experience and knowledge of HTML, CSS and Bootstrap is necessary.
• Familiarity with Java and RESTful APIs.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
• Familiarity with code versioning tools e.g.- Git, SVN
• Hands on experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
