Job description

HYBRID

Who we are:Groups360 is a booking engine for meeting space founded in 2014 by former Gaylord Entertainment executives Dave Kloeppel and Kemp Gallineau. Groups360 was created with a singular goal, to empower meeting planners by bringing innovation, transparency, and simplicity to the decades-old problem of booking groups. The company's technology, GroupSyncTM, enables suppliers to distribute inventory, engage with planners, and optimize group revenue. GroupSync also equips planners to search and shop hotels worldwide and book rooms and space directly, online, or through a simplified RFP process. GroupSync is the first distribution channel to offer online booking for both group hotel rooms and meeting space. Groups360 has offices in Nashville and London.

Our Partners:In 2019, major hospitality players Accor, Hilton, IHG and Marriott, invested a combined $50 million in Groups360 to help fuel instant-booking development. In 2022, the world's largest alternative asset manager Blackstone Innovations Partners, New York Hedge fund Fir Tree Partners, and property and technology investment firm, Zigg Capital invested a combined $35 million in Groups360 to help drive the industry wide transformation, making group travel simple.Life at Groups360: Groups360 is an innovative, high-growth company with offices in Nashville, London and Singapore. Groups360 is an equal opportunity employer, and our dedication to promoting diversity, multiculturalism and inclusion is reflected in the foundation of all we do.

The Role: The UI/UX Designer II requires an in-depth understanding of user behavior, including modern user experience principles, and works to align Groups360's business and marketing goals with technology. Conducting user research and creating wireframes will be an integral part of this position when it comes to driving user results. This role increasingly incorporates AI tooling to support ideation, accelerate research synthesis, streamline documentation, allowing the designer to focus more time on strategic design thinking, usability judgment, and client collaboration. The ideal candidate is comfortable leveraging AI as a productivity tool while maintaining strong ownership over design quality, accessibility, and user-centered outcomes.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and design UX frameworks, user flows, wireframes, prototypes and refined experiences iteratively with a strong foundation in UX and UI.
  • Responsible for translating business objectives into intuitive workflows and designs.
  • Design and create visual interfaces, mockups and workflows aimed at maximizing user experience.
  • Analyze the behavior to gauge the consumer's experience and feature success as it relates to business needs.
  • Write thorough UI design specifications and style guides. Use AI-assisted tools to draft, edit, and maintain design documentation, ensuring consistency in tone and structure across specs.
  • Interact with clients and collaborate with the rest of the design team to visually guide the user through the product's interface via interactive elements across all platforms.
  • Partner with Project Manager and Development Team to plan out implementation strategies.
  • Use AI-assisted tools to draft and document design and translate design specs into developer-friendly handoff notes.
  • Ensure UI/UX best practices and drive improvements in designs and methodology. Use AI-assisted tools to research current UX trends, competitive benchmarks, and accessibility standards to inform design recommendations.
  • Draft and refine client-facing communications, presentations, and research summaries using AI-assisted tools, ensuring clarity and professionalism while maintaining final editorial judgment.
  • Critically review and edit AI-generated content (documentation, research synthesis, copy) for accuracy, brand voice, and design intent before finalizing deliverables.

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • 2+ years of experience as a UI/UX developer/designer.
  • Experience with Figma.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted design and productivity tools (e.g., generative AI assistants) to support research synthesis, documentation, and workflow efficiency.
  • Excellent verbal, written and group communication and presentation skills; ability to utilize communication skills to effectively influence across functions and business units as well as across different leadership levels.
  • Excellent organizational & analytical skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Results-driven and execution-oriented personality, ready to take ownership and get results.

Nice to Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Design, Communication Design, Multimedia Design, or a similar field.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, React, and JavaScript.
  • Graphic Design, Animation, Interaction Design, or related experience.
  • Hands-on experience prompting or customizing AI-assisted tools for design-adjacent workflows (e.g., ideation, prototyping).

What Success Looks Like: In this role, success means owning the design process end-to-end from early user research through polished, developer-ready specs while keeping the user's experience and the business's goals in equal focus. A successful designer here ships intuitive, well-tested interfaces on schedule, catches usability issues before they reach development, and keeps documentation clear enough that engineers rarely have to ask "what did you mean by this?" They use AI-assisted tools to move faster on research documentation, and drafting, but never let that speed come at the cost of quality; every AI-assisted output gets their critical eye before it reaches a client or teammate. Just as important, they're a trusted collaborator: PMs and developers know they'll get clear, timely input during planning, and clients experience someone who can translate complex feedback into confident design decisions.

Core Business Hours:8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. M-F, Hybrid; these hours may vary depending upon your position and work requirements.
