Position Summary... What you'll do...Join Walmart as a Senior UX Designer to lead the development and enhancement of user experience strategies through comprehensive research, interaction design, and prototyping. This role requires collaboration with stakeholders to align business goals with user needs, leveraging data analysis and usability testing to drive informed design decisions. The successful candidate will independently identify solutions, influence technical outcomes, and contribute to scalable, user-centered design systems that improve customer engagement and satisfaction across digital platforms. This position demands strong communication skills and the ability to manage complex projects within a dynamic environment.
About the team:
The Omni Services Design team enhances customer and associate interactions with Walmart’s services by applying service design principles. They create seamless experiences across physical and digital channels, covering discovery, scheduling, check-in, service delivery, payment, and follow-up. Focus areas include pharmacy, optical, auto care, and home services. Their work spans Walmart.com, the Walmart app, in-store touchpoints, operational processes, and associate tools. By integrating customer insights, retail operations, digital product design, and service innovation, the team delivers user-centered solutions that shape the future of Walmart’s service experiences.
What you'll do:
  • Conduct user research including interviews, surveys, and contextual inquiries to identify gaps and inform design strategies.
  • Develop and refine interaction designs and user journeys based on data analysis and emerging user consumption trends.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align design solutions with business goals and communicate technical outcomes effectively.
  • Create prototypes and detailed design specifications adhering to user-centered principles and platform guidelines.
  • Lead usability testing, document findings, and iterate designs to enhance user experience and product effectiveness.
  • Build and maintain productive partnerships to support design implementation and continuous improvement.

  • Exceptional Craft & Service Design: Strong visual and interaction design craft with exceptional attention to detail, grounded in service design principles and an understanding of how experiences connect across digital, physical, and operational touchpoints.
  • Fast-Moving Product Development: Comfort working in fast-moving product pods—prototyping quickly, testing experiences in flight, learning from real customer feedback, and continuously refining releases as they scale.
