Job description

Land Surveyor

Zing Recruiting is partnering with a respected civil engineering and land development firm in Boise, Idaho to identify an experienced Licensed Land Surveyor (PLS) to join their team! This is an onsite opportunity supporting a variety of land development, civil engineering, municipal, and construction projects. The ideal candidate will bring strong surveying expertise, project leadership experience, and the ability to collaborate with clients, engineers, architects, and internal teams.

Land Surveyor Job Summary:

· Pay: $33-$48 an hour (based on experience)

· Location: Boise, Idaho (ONSITE)

· Lead and manage surveying projects from initial research through final deliverables

· Perform boundary, ALTA, topographic, easement, and construction surveys

· Conduct boundary research, resolution, and preparation of legal descriptions and plats

· Perform GPS data collection, total station surveying, and field measurements

· Support construction staking and land development projects

· Coordinate with engineers, architects, contractors, and clients

· Provide quality control and ensure accuracy of survey deliverables

· Mentor survey crews, train technicians, and provide technical guidance to junior staff

· Utilize surveying software and technology including AutoCAD Civil 3D, Carlson Survey, GPS equipment, Leica equipment, and GIS applications

· Drone/UAV mapping experience is a plus

 Land Surveyor Qualifications:

· Active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license required

· Previous experience supporting land development, civil engineering, municipal, and/or construction projects

· Strong knowledge of boundary determination and surveying principles

· Experience managing surveying projects and client communication

· Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Carlson Survey preferred

· Experience with Trimble GPS and Leica surveying equipment preferred

· Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
