What is a junior software quality assurance?

Junior Software Quality Assurance (QA) professionals are entry-level team members responsible for assisting in the testing and validation of software applications. They help identify bugs, report issues, and ensure that products meet specified requirements and quality standards. Their work includes executing test cases, documenting results, and collaborating with developers to resolve defects. Juniors typically work under the supervision of more experienced QA engineers as they build their technical skills and understanding of the software development lifecycle.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a junior software quality assurance?

To thrive as a Junior Software Quality Assurance specialist, you need a basic understanding of software testing principles, attention to detail, and often a degree in computer science or a related field. Familiarity with testing tools such as Selenium, JIRA, and bug tracking systems, along with knowledge of scripting languages, is typically required.
