Job description

About Clark
Clark is building the trust infrastructure for the AI economy. We're starting with audit and accounting workflows - high-trust environments where reliability, accuracy, and security matter as much as product functionality.
The Role
We're hiring a Junior Software Engineer to help build the product and systems through which customers experience Clark. You'll work closely with senior engineers across the stack - frontend, backend, data, and integrations - while ramping up on our codebase, our customers, and how we build reliable software in a high-trust domain.
What You'll Do
Ship features across the stack under the guidance of senior engineers; write clean, tested, well-documented code; help build integrations and internal tools; investigate bugs and learn to debug across the stack; participate in code review and pick up team engineering practices; grow into owning larger pieces of the product over time.
Who You Are
0-2 years of professional software engineering experience (or equivalent through school/internships/personal projects); solid fundamentals in at least one modern language/framework; a strong personal project or open-source contribution that shows real initiative; eager to learn fast in a high-ownership, fast-moving environment; comfortable asking questions and taking feedback; excited to work in person with a talent-dense team.
Bonus
Experience with TypeScript/React/Node or Python; any exposure to AI/LLM tooling; coursework or projects involving data-heavy or workflow-heavy systems; experience at a startup or on a small team.
The Environment
5 days a week on-site in NYC, no remote or hybrid; startup hours and pace; flat structure, no hierarchy; high ownership.
Benefits
Unlimited PTO; Wellhub Platinum membership; comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage; free company dinner every day.
