Job description

Job Summary

ROZELL is seeking a highly motivated Estimator/Project Manager with 3-5 years of experience to join our team. This position will be responsible for handling estimates, proposals, and related documents, as well as the project management of these and other projects with other team members. Specific knowledge of site/civil, mechanical, and structural related work and activities for general construction services.

Responsibilities

  • Material take-offs for isometric drawings and P&IDs for applications such as piping, mechanical etc.
  • Preparing work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents
  • Analyze blueprints and other documents, to prepare time, cost, material and labor estimates.
  • Completing and submitting estimates and material orders
  • Maintaining a directory of suppliers, contractors and sub-contractors
  • Project set-up and schedule of value preparation
  • Man-power planning/scheduling (MS Project/P6 experience a plus)
  • Project submittals and deliverables
  • Managing customer relationships

Qualifications

  • Estimating experience (3-5 years) as an estimator in the construction field
  • Thorough knowledge of reading and understanding blueprints
  • General knowledge of construction materials, equipment and standard bid practices within the industry
  • Ability to closely collaborate with other project members
  • Understanding of process flow to ensure information and coordination with Project Management is complete, accurate and well organized.
  • Proficient or familiar with estimating software (Sage Estimating) and Microsoft Office.
