Job description

EnTech Engineering, PC is a multidisciplinary engineering and construction management firm devoted to delivering best-in-class design and construction support services for infrastructure and facility projects that strengthen communities nationwide. Based in New York City, our firm is made of engineers, technologists, environmental scientists, construction professionals, and consultants who are passionate about improving the infrastructure, buildings, and communities that surround us.
EnTech is seeking a full-time "Senior Geotechnical Engineer" to lead and support our geotechnical projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geotechnical analysis and design, along with experience managing field investigations, mentoring staff, and coordinating with clients. This position provides an opportunity to take on both technical and project management responsibilities.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Developing project scopes, budgets, and design approaches for geotechnical engineering services.
  • Performing and coordinating geotechnical field investigations, including boring supervision, test pits, and field logging.
  • Performing engineering analyses and designs for shallow and deep foundations, retaining structures, slope stability, and excavation support systems.
  • Preparing and reviewing geotechnical drawings, profiles, and figures using AutoCAD, MicroStation, and ArcGIS.
  • Preparing geotechnical reports, cost estimates, and technical proposals.
  • Supervising and mentoring junior engineers and field personnel, ensuring adherence to QA/QC standards.
  • Coordinating with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to meet project objectives.
  • Reviewing and approving geotechnical designs and deliverables from internal and external sources.
  • Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and train junior technical staff.

Required Qualifications:
  • BS in Civil Engineering required; MS in Geotechnical Engineering strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years geotechnical engineering experience design and analysis.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, MicroStation, MATLAB, ArcGIS, and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong knowledge of soil mechanics, foundation engineering, and retaining structure design.
  • Excellent communication, technical writing, project management, and leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
