To support our operations, we are seeking a Junior Accountant to join our dynamic and growing team.

Job Description: As a Junior Accountant at our client, you will play a vital role in our accounting department. You will be responsible for general ledger maintenance and assisting in various accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience with QuickBooks and possess a strong attention to detail. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is eager to grow their accounting career within the manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in maintaining the general ledger and prepare journal entries as needed.
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Review and analyze accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial information.
  • Assist in preparing audit schedules and providing necessary documentation for external audits.
  • Help with budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting principles, regulations, and company policies.
  • Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in accounting, preferably with a focus on general ledger maintenance.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks is required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
