Junior HVAC Estimator

AirRevive is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented HVAC Estimator to join our team. This role is responsible for preparing accurate estimates, reviewing project specifications, and supporting the bidding process for commercial HVAC projects

Responsibilities

  • Review mechanical drawings, specifications, and addenda to understand project scope
  • Perform HVAC take-offs (ductwork, piping, equipment, diffusers, fittings) using Bluebeam or similar tools
  • Assist in building detailed cost estimates, including material, labor, and equipment
  • Request and track vendor and supplier pricing for equipment and materials
  • Support the preparation of bid proposals, scopes, and purchase orders
  • Help identify scope gaps, inconsistencies, and RFIs during the bidding process
  • Maintain estimating databases, vendor lists, and historical pricing records
  • Coordinate with senior estimators, engineering, and operations to validate scope and pricing
  • Participate in project handoff meetings to ensure smooth transition from estimating to execution
  • Manage multiple bid requests and meet tight deadlines

Requirements:

Requirements

1–3 years of experience in HVAC, construction estimating, OR field experience (installer/technician transitioning into estimating)

Basic understanding of commercial HVAC systems (ductwork, RTUs, split systems, etc.)

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings

Experience with estimating software or takeoff tools (Bluebeam, FastDUCT, PlanSwift, or similar) preferred

Strong Excel skills (basic formulas, data tracking)

High attention to detail — ability to catch missing scope items

Strong organizational and time management skills in a deadline-driven environment

Good communication skills and willingness to learn from senior team members

Team-oriented with a proactive, problem-solving mindset

Knowledge of general construction processes is a plus
