Job description

We use our craft to inspire action and create measurable good in the world, bridging the gap between belief and behavior.
About Us:
Boncom is a strategic marketing and consulting agency that exists to solve noble problems, promote positive behavior change, and build relevance for good causes. We develop innovative and strategic campaigns, both traditional and digital, and are fortunate to work for great organizations that are cause-oriented and who strive to do good in the world. Our staff comprises exceptionally talented team members who bring these clients' meaningful messages to life.
Job Overview:
We are hiring an AI Solutions Manager to join our emerging technology team and merge artificial intelligence with creativity and strategic insight. You will partner with stakeholders across creative, strategy, media, research, and operations to understand how their teams work, find where AI can have real impact, and build the tools, agents, and automations that bring those ideas to life. You will also help shape Boncom's vision, translating the latest developments in the field into practical opportunities for the agency. We are looking for a curious, self-directed builder who treats GenAI as a design material and thrives in the space between an idea and a shipped solution.
Key Responsibilities:
Discovery and Assessment:
  • Run AI Office Hours as a recurring forum where teams across the agency bring problems, questions, and ideas, and leave with a clear path forward.

  • Manage AI project intake end-to-end: meet with teams, scope their needs, and translate fuzzy business problems into clear, actionable solutions.

  • Audit existing processes across departments such as creative, copywriting, video production, strategy, research, analytics, media buying, and project management to identify where AI can improve efficiency, output quality, and strategic effectiveness.

Build and Ship:
  • Design and ship internal tools, AI agents, and automations end-to-end, from full-stack web apps to lightweight prototypes.

  • Build production AI features end-to-end using frontier models from Anthropic, Google, and OpenAI, spanning prompt design and evaluation, agent orchestration, retrieval (RAG), tool use, multi-step pipelines, MCP servers, and emerging patterns like computer use, code execution, and long-running agentic workflows.

  • Build and maintain the data and cloud infrastructure that AI applications depend on, including data warehouses, identity, and serverless deployments.

  • Work alongside AI team to set technical direction, share patterns, and raise the bar on what we ship.

Adoption and Iteration:
  • Drive adoption through training, documentation, and ongoing iteration; measure what is working and retire what is not.

  • Serve as a go-to resource for teams exploring AI-powered solutions, both inside and outside of Office Hours.

Innovation and Strategy:
  • Contribute to Boncom's evolving AI vision and roadmap alongside the AI team and leadership, and bring ideas to the table that stakeholders did not know to ask for.

  • Track the AI landscape and translate it into practical opportunities for the agency.

  • Work closely with leadership to explore strategic opportunities resulting from AI integration and their potential impact on creative and client work.

Qualifications:
  • Solid experience building with GenAI tools and APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Google), with at least 1-2 years applying them to real-world workflows or products.

  • Demonstrable experience building full-stack applications using modern AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Lovable, or similar), and shipping production-quality work in modern stacks (Next.js, React, TypeScript, Python or Node).

  • Hands-on experience deploying production AI features through enterprise platforms such as Google Vertex AI, Azure AI Foundry, or AWS Bedrock.

  • Fluency across the modern GenAI stack: prompt engineering, evaluation, RAG, tool use, agentic orchestration, and emerging patterns like MCP (Model Context Protocol), computer use, and code execution.

  • Working knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (GCP preferred), including data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, etc.), identity, and serverless compute.

  • Experience scoping projects, deciding what is worth building, and knowing when to ship a quick prototype versus build something to last.

  • Experience working with both business leadership and technical teams, able to translate between the two: explaining a model choice to an engineer and a tradeoff to a creative director in the same week.

  • Bias toward action, ability to navigate ambiguity, and genuine curiosity about how other people work.

  • Cloud certifications (Google Cloud, Azure, or AWS) and experience in the advertising or marketing industry are a plus.

Benefits:
  • Medical, dental, AD&D, life, and vision Insurance

  • 401K (with a company match)

  • Company-paid retirement program

  • Tuition reimbursement

  • Charitable donation matching

  • Paid time off and 12 paid holidays

  • Flexible schedule

  • Part in-office (Salt Lake City, Utah) and part remote position

  • Fully stocked kitchen and catering

  • Standing/Lift desks, comfy chairs
