Job description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Network Administrator to support a long-term enterprise IT program based in Newington, VA. The Network Administrator will support enterprise routing and switching, network access control, network management, and troubleshooting across a large-scale environment. This position requires a TS/SCI Clearance and is onsite in Newington, VA!

Responsibilities of the Network Administrator:
  • Manage, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco-based enterprise networks
  • Administer and support Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) and Cisco DNA Center (DNAC)
  • Configure and maintain VLANs, trunking, inter-VLAN routing, and network segmentation
  • Support enterprise routing and switching infrastructure
  • Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve connectivity issues
  • Troubleshoot network issues using tools such as Wireshark and NetFlow
  • Support network security technologies including firewalls, ACLs, NAT, and VPNs
  • Manage network access control technologies including 802.1X, RADIUS, and TACACS+
  • Support secure network operations within a highly regulated environment
  • Collaborate with network engineers, system administrators, infrastructure teams, and security teams
  • Participate in change management, incident response, and network maintenance activities
  • Document network configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and operational changes
  • Support data center and physical network infrastructure
  • Work with technical and non-technical stakeholders to resolve network issues and maintain reliable enterprise operations
Qualifications for the Network Administrator:
  • 3+ years of network administration experience supporting enterprise environments
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Experience supporting enterprise routing and switching environments
  • Strong hands-on experience with Cisco routers and switches
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting VLANs, routing, and network segmentation
  • Experience with Cisco ISE
  • Experience with Cisco DNA Center (DNAC)
