Job Title: Systems Admin

iPower Technologies is a growing IT Managed Services provider offering computer and network support to its nationwide base of clients. We have an immediate open position that will provide high level support to our client base. This person knows the importance of white glove service and strives to provide support and sympathetic ear when things are going wrong for the client. Exemplary work ethic combined with consistent performance, reliability and attendance are top priorities. They seamlessly transition from desktop support to server and network issues, depending on the moment and demands of the day.

Responsibilities:

  • Proficient at designing, building, migrating, and maintaining:
  • Business networks and systems, including hardware, software, and cloud platforms
  • Window Servers 2008,2012 and 2016 and Active Directory, DNS, etc
  • Virtual Infrastructure – VMWare vSphere and Windows HyperV, and others (ie:Proxmox)
  • Secure and redundant infrastructures
  • Office 365 Deployment and Management
  • Cloud networking for Azure
  • Azure AD\Entra
  • Security technologies like Azure conditional access, MFA etc
  • Manage ongoing cloud infrastructure management tasks like resource provisioning, cost optimization, performance monitoring, and security configuration, allowing YAI to efficiently utilize cloud resources and avoid unnecessary costs.
  • Implement and manage security solutions specifically designed for cloud environments, including monitoring for security threats, vulnerability assessments, and incident response procedures.
  • Configure & manage Microsoft Server with PowerShell expertise
  • Diagnose and resolve unique, nonrecurring problems associated with application software and operating systems; determine the source of problems and classify their level, priority and nature
  • Maintain inventory of installed software, manage software licensing and create policies and procedures for upgrades
  • Document procedures, standards, best practices configurations, settings, installation sequences and back-out instructions

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent professional experience is acceptable
  • 6–7 years of hands-on experience in Windows Server administration.
  • MSP experience preferred
  • Ability to multitask and maintain cool under pressure
  • Microsoft and Azure Cloud certifications preferred
  • Proficiency with network monitoring tools like PRTG
  • Strong knowledge of advanced protocols, including RADIUS, PKI, IKE, 802.1Q, and SSL, applied to both traditional and cloud-based networks.
  • Excellent ability to translate technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate well at all levels of the organization
  • Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $110,000 a year
