Job Title: Tech Lead - .NET Full Stack
Location: St. Louis, MO
Type: Long-Term Contract-to-Hire
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. - No current or future visa sponsorship provided.
We're looking for a seasoned .NET Full Stack Technical Lead to join a fast-paced, enterprise environment within the life insurance domain. This long-term contract-to-hire role is ideal for someone experienced in building and leading scalable software solutions related to Agent Compensation and Policy Administration Systems.
You'll work closely with both business and technology teams to deliver high-quality applications, ensure regulatory compliance, and guide a team of developers through hands-on leadership and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of full stack applications supporting mission-critical insurance systems.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders across underwriting, compensation, and actuarial departments to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Conduct thorough code reviews and design evaluations to ensure code quality, performance, and compliance with standards.
- Identify and resolve complex technical issues, escalating when necessary to senior leadership or vendor support.
- Recommend enhancements to existing systems or processes to improve efficiency and product quality.
- Guide junior and mid-level developers by providing technical mentorship and support.
- Actively participate in daily stand-ups, retrospectives, sprint planning, and other Agile ceremonies.
- Work on system integrations using RESTful APIs and data exchange frameworks with internal and third-party platforms.
- Ensure development practices adhere to data security and insurance industry compliance requirements.
- Support architecture planning and proof-of-concept initiatives for new technology solutions.
- Prepare and maintain technical specifications, design documentation, and user guides.
Preferred Qualifications
- Extensive hands-on experience with C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, and full stack development.
- Familiarity with Angular, React, or other modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server, REST APIs, and cloud-based tools (Azure preferred).
