Senior Consultant, Enterprise Data Management Capital Market- Business Consulting
As a Senior Consultant, you will be a core delivery contributor on client engagements - executing structured workstreams, driving analysis and documentation, and supporting solution design under the guidance of Managers and Principal Consultants. You will bring solid domain knowledge across reference data, market data, and product/fund data, paired with hands-on experience on platforms such as Gresham Opus EDM (formerly S&P Global / Markit EDM). You are a practitioner who can navigate real-world data challenges and translate them into workable, well-documented solutions.
About the role:
As a Senior Consultant, you will own the execution of defined workstreams within EDM implementation engagements, working closely with Managers, Principal Consultants, and client counterparts. You will contribute meaningfully to solution design discussions, take accountability for the quality of your analytical and documentation outputs, and build effective working relationships with day-to-day client stakeholders. You will also support firm-building activities by sharing knowledge, participating in internal initiatives, and contributing to the development of junior team members.
Responsibilities
EDM Implementation & Delivery
  • Execute assigned workstreams within S&P Global / Gresham Opus EDM implementation programs, delivering against defined scope, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Support the integration of EDM with downstream systems and upstream data feeds - including vendor systems, internal trading/portfolio/CRM platforms, and reporting solutions
  • Configure and test data ingestion, validation, transformation, enrichment, and reconciliation workflows across the following data domains:
  • Reference data: securities, parties, pricing, rates, legal entities, and corporate actions
  • Market data: pricing and vendor feed management
  • Product and fund data: metadata, hierarchy, and product lifecycle attributes
  • Trade and position data: IBOR feeds and trade hub reconciliation
  • Contribute to the documentation of data governance, stewardship, and lineage requirements, supporting traceability and auditability objectives defined by senior team members
  • Participate in client workshops, requirements sessions, and functional review meetings - capturing decisions, preparing materials, and following up on action items
  • Raise data quality issues, and workstream blockers proactively to Managers and Principal Consultants for timely resolution
  • Produce high-quality consulting deliverables including Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), functional specifications, data dictionaries, process flow diagrams, and decision logs
  • Assist in preparing impact assessments, gap analyses, and fit/gap documentation for EDM configuration and integration tasks
Practice Development
  • Contribute to internal knowledge-sharing sessions and stay current on emerging Capital Markets trends and EDM platform developments
  • Support the development of reusable assets, templates, and methodology documentation as directed by senior practice members
  • Participate in practice training activities and actively engage in professional development opportunities
  • Assist in drafting thought leadership content, such as points of view or market observations, in collaboration with other consultants
  • Support recruitment activities including participating in interviews or campus engagement as capacity allows
Business Development
  • Support senior team members in preparing client proposals, pitch materials, and RFP responses, contributing domain expertise and delivery insights
  • Participate in client demonstrations and proof-of-concept (POC) activities under the direction of Managers or Principal Consultants
  • Develop awareness of the firm's consulting propositions and service offerings, and actively look for opportunities to surface client needs to senior team members
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent)
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Financial Services, with meaningful exposure to data management programs in Capital Markets, Asset Management, Wealth Management, or related sectors
  • Demonstrated experience participating in EDM or data platform implementation programs - from requirements gathering and configuration through testing
  • Hands-on working knowledge of Gresham Opus EDM (formerly S&P Global EDM / Markit EDM), including configuration, workflow design, and/or business analysis on the platform; or Gresham Asset Control
  • Solid domain understanding of Reference Data Management, Security Master, and Market Data across at least two or more asset classes (e.g., equities, fixed income, derivatives, FX)
  • Experience analyzing and documenting data derivation rules, source-to-target mappings, and data lineage across enterprise applications
  • Experience contributing to large-scale data migration, data platform modernization, or system replacement programs in a defined analytical or functional role
  • Ability to produce consulting-grade deliverables: BRDs, functional specs, data dictionaries, process flows, and decision logs with attention to accuracy and completeness
  • Good stakeholder engagement skills; able to build rapport with working-level client teams and communicate clearly in both verbal and written formats
  • Experience delivering in Agile, waterfall, or hybrid delivery environments.
  • Candidates authorized to work for any employer in the United States without employer-based visa sponsorship are welcome to apply. Infosys is unable to provide immigration sponsorship for this role at this time
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree (MBA, MS Finance, MS Data Management, or equivalent) preferred but not required
  • Prior experience at a professional services firm or management consultancy in capital markets or data-focused advisory capacity
  • Exposure to front-to-back office processes across at least one product area (e.g., equities, fixed income, derivatives), with awareness of leading platforms in that space
  • Participation in pre-sales activities such as client demonstrations, POCs, or RFP response support
  • Ability to manage personal workload and multiple parallel deliverables under tight deadlines, with a track record of reliable follow-through
  • Collaborative and team-oriented working style; able to leverage colleagues and firm resources to enhance output quality
  • Early indicators of thought leadership: active curiosity, ability to synthesize domain knowledge into structured insights or process improvements
Location
  • Los Angeles. Hybrid working model with 2-3 days in-person per week depending on client policies.
