Key Responsibilities:

  • Network Architecture and Strategy:
    • Lead the design and implementation of large-scale, complex network architectures to meet organizational and DoD requirements.
    • Develop long-term strategies for network scalability, reliability, and security, aligning with organizational goals.
    • Evaluate emerging technologies and provide recommendations for adoption to enhance network capabilities.
  • Technical Leadership and Problem Solving:
    • Solve highly complex network problems, including advanced routing, switching, and security challenges.
    • Act as the primary technical expert for network-related issues, providing guidance and solutions to internal and external stakeholders.
    • Lead the development and implementation of innovative network solutions to address unique operational challenges.
  • Compliance and Security:
    • Ensure all network systems comply with DoD cybersecurity standards, including NIST 800-171, RMF, and other applicable regulations.
    • Oversee the implementation of advanced security measures, such as zero-trust architectures, intrusion prevention systems, and encryption protocols.
    • Conduct risk assessments and develop comprehensive mitigation strategies to address vulnerabilities.
  • Project Leadership:
    • Lead cross-functional teams on projects of significant scope and complexity, ensuring successful delivery of objectives.
    • Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets, while maintaining alignment with organizational priorities.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for network-related projects, representing the organization to external stakeholders.

To accommodate strict personnel constraints during client expeditions, this lead role requires the adaptability to oversee and personally execute cross-functional, out-of-scope technical tasks, ensuring continuous system availability and overall mission success.
  • Demonstrated experience configuring, administering, and maintaining HAIPE (High Assurance Internet Protocol Encryptor) devices (e.g., TACLANEs) and supporting COMSEC (Communications Security) equipment and cryptographic network devices within secure environments.
  • DISA & Circuit Provisioning: Proven experience working with DISA CCSD (Circuit Designators) and managing government circuit provisioning and management processes related to defense networks.
  • Virtualization & Systems Administration: Hands-on experience administering VMware virtual networking environments, with preferred experience supporting Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Windows Server enterprise environments.
  • Deployable Communications: Direct experience with deployable communications systems, tactical network kits, and field-deployable operations in austere or expeditionary environments.
  • Advanced Certification: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification is highly preferred.
  • Experience with working on next-generation firewalls.
  • Experience working with VoIP using SIP and Cisco Call Managers.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
