100% ONSITE - MARSHALL SPACE FLIGHT CENTER (MSFC), HUNTSVILLE, AL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION / DUTIES All Points is seeking a Systems Administrator III to provide core IT infrastructure and system administration onsite support for NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) in Huntsville, Alabama. This role supports MSFC mission systems and laboratory environments and requires hands-on technical expertise in secure, compliance-driven environments. The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and modernizing IT systems and infrastructure while ensuring security compliance, availability, and data integrity across Windows and Linux platforms. This is a Federal Contract. US Citizenship is required Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Provide core systems administration support for MSFC IT resources and laboratory environments. Develop and implement strategies to achieve and maintain security compliance, including vulnerability mitigation, system hardening, and log collection and analysis. Refresh and modernize end-of-life (EOL) operating systems and replace aged physical systems. Maintain and modernize virtualization platforms and environments. Provide analysis related to the design, development, and integration of replacement systems, including hardware, software, and operating systems. Utilize software solutions to perform continuous monitoring of compute and storage systems. Communicate operational strategies, risks, and recommendations clearly to engineers, scientists, and technical leadership. EDUCATION Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required. EXPERIENCE Minimum 6 years of relevant systems administration experience in enterprise or mission-critical environments. SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS Experience administering Linux systems (RHEL and Debian variants) and Windows systems. Experience with virtualization solutions. Experience using Ansible or similar tools to automate system configuration and administrative tasks. Experience working in compliance-driven environments utilizing NIST 800-53 security controls. Experience implementing and maintaining continuous monitoring and security reporting for Windows and Linux platforms. Experience implementing Data-in-Transit (DIT) and Data-at-Rest (DAR) protections using FIPS 140-3 compliant encryption. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical and operational concepts to engineers, scientists, and leadership. Ability to work collaboratively in team-based technical environments. SECURITY REQUIREMENTS U.S. Citizenship is required. Ability to obtain and maintain a NASA Public Trust / badging clearance.
