The Platform Operations team builds native platform solutions that enable seamless and highly secure platform administration, management, and monitoring. This technical leadership role in the Database Platforms (DP) department will contribute to InterSystems' next generation cloud-native database platform product as well as the InterSystems IRIS, InterSystems IRIS for Health and InterSystems Health Connect database platforms.

The Platform Operations team needs an experienced developer or architect who can drive DevSecOps enhancements and maintenance including configuration, security, monitoring, licensing and upgrading for cloud with Kubernetes and traditional on-prem deployments on a range of supported platforms.

This position is in the InterSystems headquarters in Boston, MA.

Responsibilities

This developer will design technical solutions in collaboration with a small team of developers according to product requirements defined by a product manager. They will be responsible for implementing product changes and automated tests when appropriate. All work must follow the team's development workflow including use of source control, code reviews and clear documentation. This developer will be responsible for the quality of their code.

This role requires the candidate to occasionally respond to technical questions about expected product behavior and recommended best practices from support specialists and sales engineers.

This role requires the candidate to collaborate with several other teams including the DP Cloud Core and Kernel development teams, the DP Security Architecture Engineering team, the Managed Services team, and the HealthShare Operations scrum team.

The technology stack includes C/C++, GoLang, YAML, ObjectScript, Docker, Kubernetes and InterSystems IRIS. The platform is supported on Ubuntu containers, Windows, AIX, RHEL, SUSE Linux Enterprise, and Ubuntu. Development teams use Claude Code and VS Code for development tasks. CI/CD pipelines are built with GitLab, but some source code remains in Perforce.
