Senior Java Software Developer

Location: Frisco, TX 75034 | Hybrid

Talent Groups is seeking an experienced Senior Java Software Developer to join an Agile product development team building and enhancing enterprise applications.

This role requires strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, Test Driven Development, cloud technologies, automated testing, and modern AI assisted software development practices. The ideal candidate will use AI assisted development tools to support testing, improve code quality, and accelerate delivery while maintaining ownership of secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions.

What You Will Do

  • Design, develop, and maintain Java applications using Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
  • Build internal tools and user facing features that improve functionality and user experience.
  • Practice Test Driven Development and build well tested, high quality software.
  • Use AI assisted development tools to support coding, testing, debugging, and software quality.
  • Collaborate with Product, DevOps, and QA teams in an Agile environment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across development and production environments.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
  • Mentor junior developers and support continuous improvement across the development team.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 7+ years of professional experience with Java and Spring Boot.
  • 7+ years of experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Strong experience designing and developing applications using microservices architecture.
  • Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) and a strong focus on software quality.
  • Experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.
  • Proficiency with cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Strong experience with Git and modern version control workflows.
  • Experience working in Agile software development environments.
  • Experience with or openness to AI assisted development workflows to support testing, code quality, and software delivery.
  • Strong problem solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills

  • 10+ years of experience with Java and Spring Boot.
