Job Description

Position Details:

Title: Sr. Software Engineer

Location: Eagan, MN 55123

Duration: 6 Months (Possibility of a long extension)

Description:
Primary Job Duties:

  • Researches, designs, develops and integrates applications at a senior-level as per written specifications.
  • Write new software or make modifications to existing software applications and modules in accordance with written specifications.
  • Essential day-to-day responsibilities include performing coding assignments, unit testing, ensuring development standards are being followed, analyzing functional specifications, producing technical specifications and unit testing scripts, and participating in team code reviews and impact assessments.
Qualifications

Qualifications/requirements:

  • Educated or experience writing software in and using any of the following (in priority order): Java, JavaScript, SQL (Oracle DB knowledge), Hibernate, XML, JUnit, Angular JS, HTML, JSON, Spring, REST, Groovy, Oracle workspaces
  • Consolidation of a variety of tools. Primarily a Java shop. Unique attributes of this project (backend Oracle, Oracle Workspace Manager (helps with versioning), as data as changing and being enhance, under normal circumstances typically would overwrite data in the database. They need to store historical data and potentially be able to roll back seamlessly

OWS Increments data versions to easily manages those snapshots.
Migrating to Angular 2.0 from 1.5 (called out in the JD) so Angular experience is highly desired.
Some other projects have used this but his group is relatively new to this stacks.
Not looking for a junior developer
Did a lot of design work, looking for a fairly seasoned developer. Should know industry-design standards for JS and OO development.
