Job description

Job Title Senior Backend Engineer (Java, Spring Boot, Cloud) Overview / Summary We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer responsible for developing and maintaining server-side components of applications, including APIs, databases, and business logic services. The role involves building scalable backend systems using modern frameworks and deploying applications across cloud or on-prem environments. Key Responsibilities Engage with customers to understand use cases and requirements Design, develop, and deliver backend solutions using various tools, languages, frameworks, and technologies Follow architecture guidelines to ensure a unified and consistent development approach Develop and maintain backend applications such as APIs and microservices using Java and related technologies Collaborate with front-end developers and cross-functional teams including product owners, designers, and architects Manage application deployment on cloud or on-prem environments, including monitoring, security, and disaster recovery Work with database technologies such as Oracle, MySQL, and MongoDB for data storage and retrieval Improve engineering practices including test-driven development, continuous integration, and continuous delivery Optimize backend systems for performance, scalability, and reliability Implement security practices including encryption and data protection Required Qualifications Strong experience in Java (Java 11/17+) Experience building backend applications, APIs, and microservices Experience working with databases such as Oracle, MySQL, or MongoDB 6+ years of IT experience 4+ years of development experience Bachelor’s Degree required What Makes HTC A Great Place To Build Your Future HTC Global Services wants you to join our team.
