Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Java Full Stack Engineer to design and develop next-generation electronic trading solutions. This hands-on technical leadership role focuses on building scalable, resilient, low-latency, and high-throughput distributed systems. The ideal candidate will collaborate across teams, mentor engineers, and drive innovation while supporting mission-critical trading platforms.
Key Responsibilities
• Architect and develop distributed, event-driven trading systems optimized for low latency and high throughput.
• Design and implement asynchronous processing frameworks and resilient messaging services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, end-to-end trading workflows.
• Lead platform performance tuning and optimization initiatives.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote software engineering best practices.
• Support production and non-production environments, including participation in a weekly on-call rotation.
• Design, develop, and deploy scalable applications using modern software engineering practices.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and technical innovation.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or an equivalent field.
• 10+ years of hands-on software design and development experience.
• Expertise in Java, Python, and Linux.
• Experience with low-latency messaging systems such as 29West or Kafka.
• Proficiency with KDB+ or other time-series databases.
• Strong experience building scalable, distributed, asynchronous, and event-driven applications.
• Advanced knowledge of low-latency design patterns and performance optimization techniques.
• Experience with Capital Markets or Brokerage systems, particularly order management platforms.
• Strong understanding of the FIX protocol and FIX engines.
• Experience using AI developer assistance tools such as GitHub Copilot.
• Experience with CI/CD tools including GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, Artifactory, and uDeploy.
• Hands-on experience deploying applications to AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to analyze complex systems and identify performance, scalability, and resilience improvements.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative environment.
• Self-driven with the ability to work effectively with technical leadership.
• Willingness to support production environments, including participation in on-call rotations and occasional weekend support.
