Senior Software / Cloud Engineer

Location: Remote (Within the US)
Employment Type: Long-term Contract


Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software / Cloud Engineer to lead the migration of legacy systems and the modernization of mission-critical APIs. This role is essential in ensuring our infrastructure aligns with IT General Controls (ITGC) standards. You will focus on building audit-ready, future-proof data pipelines and modernizing our commissions API into a tokenized, reportable structure that supports seamless integration with new enterprise solutions.

Key ResponsibilitiesMigration & Modernization
  • System Integration: Lead the migration of legacy systems to integrate directly with new enterprise solutions, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.
  • API Modernization: Design and deliver a modernized commissions API, implementing a tokenized and reportable structure that meets strict ITGC standards.
  • Audit Readiness: Ensure all data transfers and API designs are secure and accurately documented to support internal and external audit requirements.
Architecture & Development
  • Hands-on Engineering: Provide expert-level coding support for both new and existing systems, primarily using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Architecture Design: Contribute to high-level architectural discussions, offering insights on scalability, security, and cloud-native best practices.
  • Data Pipelines: Build and maintain resilient data pipelines to facilitate accurate data transfer across cross-functional platforms.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
  • Cross-functional Coordination: Work closely with internal teams to support their transition to new solutions and ensure data requirements are met across the organization.
