What You'll Do

  • Spearhead Proof-of-Concept projects to establish reusable patterns and drive architectural innovation.
  • Actively participate in agile ceremonies, leading technology solutioning across a broad team landscape.
  • Develop high-level designs, system design documents, and architecture documents, securing necessary approvals.
  • Provide independent leadership and guidance to the development team, potentially coordinating with offshore teams and testers.
  • Champion security by evaluating, guiding, and resolving vulnerabilities, ensuring robust, reusable, flexible, and high-performing solutions.
  • Configure automated builds and deployments using modern CI/CD tools.
  • Write comprehensive unit test cases for all code implementations.

Must-Have Qualifications
  • 5-7 years of professional experience with a Bachelor's degree or an advanced degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in developing with Java, Spring-Boot, Spring Framework, cloud-based development, RESTful services, and micro-UI development.
  • Proven experience in coaching and mentoring junior and staff-level developers.
  • Strong expertise in system design, ranging from mid-scale to enterprise-level applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate architectural proposals and leadership goals into detailed technical design documents and comprehensive solution roadmaps for engineering teams.
  • Full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience, including successful delivery.
  • Strong capability in designing for functional and non-functional qualities, including availability, resiliency, security, and performance.
  • 1-3 years of experience with version control, project management, and CI/CD tools.
  • Proficient in using Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) and version control repositories for code management.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-resolution skills.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications
  • Experience with test-driven development (TDD) or behavior-driven development (BDD).
  • Exposure to frontend design and coding experience with modern frontend frameworks.
