Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Interior Designer with 5+ years of professional experience to join our growing design team. This role will focus on the planning, design, and execution of healthcare environments, including hospitals, clinics, outpatient facilities, senior living communities, rehabilitation centers, and wellness spaces.

The ideal candidate is passionate about creating functional, patient-centered environments that enhance the healthcare experience while meeting regulatory requirements, operational needs, and design excellence standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead interior design efforts for healthcare projects from programming and concept development through construction administration.
  • Develop space plans, finish selections, furniture specifications, and interior detailing.
  • Produce construction documents, presentation materials, and design narratives.
  • Collaborate with architects, project managers, consultants, and clients throughout all project phases.
  • Conduct client meetings, presentations, and design workshops.
  • Coordinate materials, finishes, furnishings, lighting, and equipment selections.
  • Ensure designs meet healthcare regulations, building codes, ADA requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Review shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, and finish samples during construction.
  • Participate in site visits and support project implementation through completion.
  • Mentor junior designers and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or related field.
  • 5+ years of professional interior design experience.
  • Experience working on healthcare, medical, senior living, rehabilitation, or wellness-related projects preferred.
  • Proficiency in Revit required.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office preferred.
  • Knowledge of healthcare design standards, building codes, life safety requirements, and accessibility guidelines.
  • Strong space planning, material selection, and project coordination skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Menomonee Falls, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $55.00/hr.
