Applicants must hold (or be eligible to obtain) a CTE teaching certificate with the appropriate 3 years full-time occupational experience-based endorsements:
  • CIPs: 280301 JROTC I/II/III/IV (V280300)
  • V280300 Active duty or retired, commissioned officers (with a Baccalaureate degree) approved by USACC to serve as a AirForce Instructor and certified for employment in Junior ROTC.
  • V470608 Experience in the Airline Industry. Must complete an approved CTE Plan 2 Business & Industry Route teacher preparation program. Verification of 6,000 hours of occupational experience as an aircraft mechanic, airframe technician, or airline flight crew.
  • V490100 Experience in the Airline Industry. Must complete an approved CTE Plan 2 Business & Industry Route teacher preparation program. Verification of 6,000 hours of occupational experience as an aircraft pilot OR as a part of a flight crew.

AND
  • V150100 Experience in the Manufacturing Technology Industry. Must complete an approved CTE Plan 2 Business & Industry Route teacher preparation program. Verification of 6,000 hours of occupational experience in the manufacturing industry.

OR
  • 470101 Experience in the Electrical and Electronic Industries. Must complete an approved CTE Plan 2 Business & Industry Route teacher preparation program. Verification of 6,000 hours of occupational experience with repair AND maintenance of electrical systems AND electronic equipment, industrial robotics and mechatronics, AND communications systems.

AND
  • Must have been granted certification for employment in JROTC as a retired noncommissioned officer or retired warrant officer to serve as the Army Instructor (AI) per JROTC program requirements with eligibility, suitability, and qualifications pre-approved by the United States Army Cadet Command (USACC) through satisfactory interview, physical examination, service record, review of certification packet, and other specified application materials.

Additional Requirements
  • Must hold or be willing to obtain CPR/First Aid/AED and OSHA Trainer Certifications
  • Pass Criminal Background Fingerprinting with WSP and FBI
  • Successfully complete OSPI required training

Proof of Qualification
  • Candidates must hold or be able to obtain a teaching certificate with OSPI, including the appropriate endorsement.
