About the Position:

We are hiring Junior Analysts to join Rockwood in Summer 2027. Our Junior Analysts participate in a variety of consulting activities, building the skills and experience needed to take on roles of increasing responsibility at the firm.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data (through research, interviews, observation, etc.) to capture the current state of the client mission and best practice alternatives for a future state
  • Support team to surface and document key insights from client interactions and data collection and propose recommendations for organizational improvement based on research and analysis
  • Support colleagues during interviews and other stakeholder engagement activities
  • Develop presentations and client deliverables (may include writing, editing, formatting, and enhancing with graphical or technical software)
  • Co-facilitate portions of meetings and strategy sessions with clients
  • Coordinate event logistics and knowledge capture activity for external/internal meetings
  • Develop client communications materials to create buy-in and alignment across the stakeholders
  • Build relationships while working face-to-face with clients to dissect and solve problems

In addition to consulting work, Rockwood provides a unique experience where our team members also contribute to the growth of the business. For example, Rockwood Analysts may:

  • Support business development activities to help Rockwood win new work
  • Support development of Rockwood's social media and marketing materials to improve the Rockwood brand
  • Develop and deliver Rockwood's internal training classes to grow the Rockwood capabilities
  • Own one of Rockwood's consulting methodologies and provide coaching and mentoring to the Rockwood team (as the resident Rockwood Subject Matter Expert)
  • Support recruitment activities to attract, evaluate, and bring onboard the best talent
  • perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in a relevant field
  • Must be a senior or graduate student graduating in the Spring of 2027
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance with SCI throughout employment
  • Internship, related coursework, or activities demonstrating skills and exposure to the field, tools, or methodologies are a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and other Presentation software
  • Willingness to commute to client locations full-time (up to 5 days a week), in and around the Washington Metropolitan area; occasional travel outside of the Washington, D.C. area

Salary Range

The annual salary range for this position is $63,000.00-75,000.00. Your salary may vary within this range depending on a wide range of factors, including (but not limited to) your qualifications, skills, experience, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
