Job description

About Limina

Limina is the contextual data intelligence platform built for the AI era. Evolved from Private AI, the world's most accurate PII and PHI de-identification engine, Limina has expanded into a full platform play that governs sensitive data across the entire enterprise AI lifecycle: from classification and redaction through to agentic workflows, RAG pipelines, and real-time data security.

Brands like RBC, Deepgram, and Boehringer Ingelheim already rely on our platform to build on, govern, and deploy AI against their most sensitive datasets. We've been recognized as a Gartner Cool Vendor in Privacy and a World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer, and we're backed by investors in Toronto, New York, Seattle, and San Francisco.

What you'll do

This is a full stack developer role with a front end leaning mandate. You will be part of the team helping Limina build a new product offering. This role is a great opportunity to experience the early stages of a product lifecycle. You will learn how to navigate changing roadmaps, customer demands, and novel technical problems as we scale.

  • Building and maintaining features that prospects and customers directly interact with.
  • Solving technically complex engineering problems at enterprise scale.
  • Crafting an excellent user experience across Limina's products.

You would be a good fit for this role if:

  • You have strong knowledge of Typescript and React.
  • You have a fundamental understanding of technical system design and are comfortable working on all parts of the tech stack.
  • You value and are interested in developing your skills for supplementary development processes such as planning, clear documentation, and high quality code reviews.

Nice to haves:

  • Comfortability with cloud providers like AWS.
  • Experience building REST APIs, with python frameworks such as Flask, Django, or FastAPI.
  • You have experience with, and know how to responsibly use, AI coding tools and LLMs.
  • You understand the existential nature of the development process. Even though you have the knowledge that all systems are inherently messy and complex you still find joy in pushing the boulder up the hill.

Why Work For Us

We are a highly effective team of developers who are diligent about technical design choices, high quality code, and building efficient processes.

High levels of seniority within the team means that you will be managed and mentored by developers who have worked at some of the biggest tech firms in the world. You will be working with people who will help build on your foundational skills as a developer and empower you to grow and evolve.

You will be working at a high-velocity startup that offers competitive pay and equity. If you're somebody who values autonomy, ownership, and accountability then you will fit right in.

Our office, located in central Toronto, is minutes away from great restaurants, third spaces for active hobbies, local game stores, and coffee shops.
