Job description

SUMMARY: The Full Stack Developer develops and maintains applications across the front-end, back-end, and database layers using both hand-written code and modern generative AI tools. This mid-level role also supports the Business Intelligence function through Power BI dashboards, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data integration work. The Developer works closely with the BI Engineer and senior developers under the guidance of the Development Services Manager while building toward greater ownership of application and data-focused projects. 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the primary duties. 

  • Develops and maintains full-stack applications using generative AI and hand-coding techniques, including front-end interfaces, APIs, back-end services, and supporting systems 
  • Builds and maintains ETL/ELT pipelines
  • Supports ETL/ELT and data integration tasks under the guidance of the BI Engineer using Microsoft Fabric and related tools
  • Troubleshoots and resolves issues in existing applications and reports
  • Collaborates with business users and senior team members to gather requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions
  • Documents code, processes and Business Intelligence artifacts to support long-term maintainability
  • Supports data accuracy, consistency, and security practices across applications and reports
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the education, experience, skills and/or abilities required. An individual must meet the minimum requirements as listed in each Qualifications subsection.

EDUCATION:

  • Associate’s degree or college coursework in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • An equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience may be considered

EXPERIENCE:

  • Three to five years of application development experience
  • Exposure to Business Intelligence or reporting tools is preferred 

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Proficiency in .NET development, C#, and at least one SQL dialect
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, DAX and related tools
  • Working knowledge of ETL/ELT concepts, data models, and data warehouses
  • Ability to write and optimize SQL queries
  • Proficiency with development tools such as Visual Studio, VS Code, and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with users and stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and document work throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Commitment to developing more advanced full-stack and Business Intelligence capabilities over time

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 

The work is primarily sedentary and requires extended period of sitting. The employee may occasionally stand, move between work areas, and transport items weighing up to 50 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the primary duties of the job, the employee is regularly exposed to a general office environment. Overnight travel may be required, and work outside normal business hours may occasionally be necessary.
