Senior Estimator - Public Building ConstructionPosition Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Estimator with a strong background in bidding public work building projects. This individual will take the lead in managing the estimating process from start to finish, mentor and strengthen the existing team, and play a key role in growing the public sector portfolio.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, detail-oriented professional, and collaborative team player who values accountability and long-term success.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the full estimating process for public building projects

  • Review plans, specifications, and contract documents thoroughly

  • Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates

  • Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier bids

  • Develop competitive, accurate bid proposals

  • Identify risk factors and develop value engineering solutions

  • Work closely with project managers and leadership during preconstruction

  • Help improve and refine internal estimating systems and procedures

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and vendors


Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience estimating public building construction projects

  • Proven success bidding and winning public work

  • Strong knowledge of public procurement processes and documentation

  • Ability to manage multiple bids under tight deadlines

  • Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office
