Full Stack Engineer

MDG Solutions

Boca Raton, FL • On-site

Full-time

Job description

MDG Solutions is a national, full-service marketing solutions partner specializing in multi-location businesses. Our engineering team builds and maintains the websites, web applications, and software platforms that power our clients' digital presence across hundreds of locations.
We are looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer who builds for the web end to end and owns what they ship. Reporting to the Senior Director of Solutions Engineering & Product Development, you will work across the full stack, from responsive front-end interfaces to back-end services, databases, and the infrastructure behind them, on both our in-house platforms and client-owned environments built on a wide range of technologies.
AI-assisted development is an established part of how this team works and a firm requirement of the role. You will use these tools daily to improve delivery, then apply the engineering judgment to review, validate, and stand behind every result. Delivery speed is not the measure of success; a correct, secure, and maintainable system is.
We currently work a hybrid model of Mondays and Fridays remote and Tuesday - Thursday in our Boca Raton, FL office.
Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain web applications and content-managed websites across the full stack.
  • Build and integrate server-side logic, RESTful APIs, and third-party services, with attention to security and data integrity.
  • Write and maintain automated tests, conduct code reviews, and help keep codebases healthy and well documented.
  • Maintain, modernize, and support both MDG platforms and client-owned environments across varied technology stacks and hosting solutions.
  • Use AI-assisted tools and agentic workflows to accelerate delivery, then critically review and refine all output.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues across the stack, identifying root causes to prevent recurrence.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects, collaborate across roles, and propose inventive ways to expand what MDG delivers to its clients.

Requirements
A minimum of three years of professional software development experience is required; senior-level experience is preferred. We encourage applicants who meet most, though not all, of the following to apply.
  • Proven full-stack capability, with strong command of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and a modern framework, plus solid server-side experience (experience with modern PHP and Laravel is an advantage).
  • Sound engineering fundamentals: object-oriented programming, SOLID principles, design patterns, relational databases, REST APIs, Git, automated testing, and secure coding practices.
  • Genuine, hands-on fluency with AI-assisted development, including agentic coding tools such as the Claude suite, Claude Code, and comparable products, with the discipline to verify and own every output.
  • The ability to design and improve agentic workflows, reusable skills, and connectors, and to help teammates build their own fluency.
  • Ownership, responsiveness, strong communication, multitasking, a service-minded approach to clients and colleagues, and an inventive, collaborative spirit.
  • A genuine team player who is approachable and easy to work with, shares knowledge and ideas freely, is quick to credit others, and cares about the whole team doing well.
  • Openness to learning new technologies as the stack evolves and to improving how the team works, not only what it produces.

Our work spans PHP and Laravel, WordPress, a proprietary Laravel and JAMstack-based digital experience platform, modern JavaScript front ends, and JavaScript runtime back ends including Node.js, React, and Next.js. We work across relational databases such as MySQL and MariaDB, and deploy to cloud and serverless environments across Cloudflare, AWS, and Microsoft Azure, alongside managed hosting and analytics tooling such as GA4 and Google Tag Manager. You are not expected to know every item, but should bring real expertise across a meaningful portion and the appetite to grow into the rest.
Benefits
We offer competitive healthcare, dental, and vision plans along with several voluntary benefit extras. Employees receive generous PTO in addition to all major holidays, and the option to enroll in a comprehensive 401(k) plan with employer matching. The role also offers genuine room to grow, with scope and responsibility that broaden based on demonstrated performance and contribution.
