PND Engineers is seeking a skilled and self-motivated Civil Design Engineer with at least four years of experience to join our Juneau, Alaska, office. This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy solving complex design challenges, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.


You'll work on a wide variety of rewarding projects-from general site development to highway, airport, and waterfront development to utility design-supporting both urban and remote Alaska communities. Our Juneau team is known for tackling tough projects and delivering smart, cost-effective solutions-and we're looking for a colleague who thrives in that kind of setting.


What You'll Do:

  • Design and develop civil engineering plans and construction documents for public and private infrastructure.
  • Support construction administration and inspection efforts.
  • Assist with geotechnical investigations, analysis, and reports.
  • Collaborate with internal teams across multiple disciplines.
  • Contribute to project planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
  • Occasionally travel within Alaska for site visits and progress inspections.


What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Alaska P.E. license, or ability to obtain within 12 months.
  • At least 4 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Some geotechnical coursework and experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; AutoCAD and/or Civil3D; and other relevant engineering software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and time management skills.
  • Experience and desire to mentor junior engineers and work in team environments.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Permanent authorization to work in the United States without need for employer sponsorship.
