• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments for patients and their families, identifying social, emotional, and physical needs to formulate tailored care plans.
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, participating in team conferences and interdisciplinary rounds to ensure the delivery of effective psychosocial treatment plans.
• Mentor and supervise MSWs and student interns, providing guidance and clinical support to develop their professional abilities and enhance service delivery.
• Utilize evidence-based therapies such as supportive counseling, grief counseling, and crisis intervention to support clients through significant life transitions, including illness and changes in functioning.
• Implement psychoeducation initiatives to inform patients and families about mental health management, coping strategies, and available community resources.
• Actively engage in the quality assurance process, contributing to the development and review of policies and procedures relevant to social work services.
• Maintain meticulous electronic medical records and documentation, ensuring compliance with departmental and health system policies.

Your role will involve working with a diverse clientele, including various age groups and backgrounds. Focus areas include pediatric and adolescent mental health concerns, adult emotional issues, and supportive services for geriatric populations. You will address unique challenges that each demographic faces, such as developmental transitions for youth and coping strategies for elderly clients dealing with chronic illness.

• A master’s degree in a behavioral science or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Valid clinical license as an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist), or LPCC (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor).
• Proficiency in diagnostic assessment and the ability to utilize social work theories effectively in clinical practice.
• Strong writing skills for case narratives and reports, demonstrating the ability to synthesize complex information.
• Demonstrated knowledge and application of therapeutic techniques, assessment methods, and counseling principles.

• Experience in outpatient mental health settings, particularly with diverse patient populations.
• Prior experience providing training and supervision to junior staff or interns.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and their application in maintaining clinical documentation.
• Engagement in community outreach or program development related to mental health services.
