Job Overview

We are seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to develop and support embedded software and firmware for medical device systems in a regulated, safety-critical environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and debug embedded software and firmware for medical devices and regulated systems.
  • Develop and maintain software for MCUs and MPUs in real-time embedded systems.
  • Develop applications running in RTOS environments.
  • Work with FPGA-based architectures for signal processing, hardware acceleration, and control logic.
  • Work with VHDL/Verilog-based FPGA systems as needed.
  • Develop and tune closed-loop control systems.
  • Work with temperature control, sensor feedback, and PID control algorithms.
  • Support software verification and validation (V&V) activities.
  • Follow IEC 62304 medical device software lifecycle requirements.
  • Collaborate with Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Firmware, and Quality Assurance teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in embedded software and firmware development.
  • Experience developing software for microcontrollers (MCUs) and microprocessors (MPUs).
  • Experience with real-time embedded systems.
  • Experience developing applications in RTOS environments.
  • Experience with FPGA-based architectures is preferred.
  • Exposure to VHDL or Verilog is a plus.
  • Experience with closed-loop control systems.
  • Experience with temperature control and sensor feedback systems.
  • Experience with PID control algorithms.
  • Experience supporting software verification and validation activities.
  • Knowledge of IEC 62304 medical device software lifecycle standards.
