Description:

The Senior Lead Electrical Engineer provides technical leadership for the electrical engineering discipline on capital, maintenance, and turnaround projects within the petrochemical, refining, and oil & gas industries. This role is responsible for overseeing electrical engineering design, ensuring quality and compliance, coordinating multidisciplinary project teams, mentoring junior engineers, and serving as the primary electrical engineering contact for clients. The Senior Lead Electrical Engineer supports projects from concept through construction while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, schedule, and budget performance.


Job Requirements

  • Lead and oversee the design and development of electrical systems and components.
  • Review and approve electrical drawings, calculations, and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to meet project goals.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical engineering issues.
  • Participate in project planning, scheduling, and cost control efforts.
  • Support field activities, including installation, commissioning, and inspections.
  • Conduct design reviews and risk assessments for electrical systems.


Required Skills

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  • Experience in ETAP
  • Strong knowledge of current codes and standards
  • Previous experience leading multidisciplinary engineering projects.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems.
  • Experience with brownfield and greenfield facilities

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
