Job description

This is an opportunity to join a large, well-established company as a Senior Embedded Software Engineer. This is a permanent, direct hire role in Newark, DE.

You will be doing hands-on low-level firmware and embedded software development in an R&D environment. The team is small and collaborative, and this person will be expected to operate close to a lead-level contributor while mentoring junior engineers.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Low-level embedded software and firmware development
  • Microcontroller experience
  • Schematic reading and low-level protocols (SPI, etc.)
  • FreeRTOS
  • Hardware debugging at the low level
  • Motor control or board control experience
  • 10+ years of experience
  • Background in automotive, aerospace, or medical device industries

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Linux alongside microcontroller development
  • End-to-end product development experience
  • Medical device or regulated industry background
