Job description

Job Summary:
QTS Data Centers is a leading provider of data center services, and they are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to manage the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of their Services Delivery Platform and QTS Operating System applications. The role requires excellent technical skills to manage AWS services, create infrastructure for new applications, and ensure the health of the platform.
Responsibilities:
• Manage AWS ECS and EKS
• Create infrastructure/pipelines for new services (SpringBoot, Python, Angular)
• Deploy services on DEV/UAT/PROD environments.
• Create and deploy Infrastructure as Code (IAC) with Terraform
• Manage the installation and configuration of solutions.
• Troubleshoot failure cases on Development/UAT and Production environments
• Monitor platform health and metrics using AWS CloudWatch and New Relic Document utilized approach and solution
• Participate in discussions about solutions to support developer applications and needs
• Participate in release management process
• Deploy code and troubleshoot any issue that arises
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent professional experience
• Five or more years of DevOps related experience, with a focus on Microservices deployment and maintenance
• Extensive AWS experience
• Prior experience working with Linux, Docker, Swarm, Kubernetes, Ansible
• Experience with configuration and support of Terraform and GitHub Actions
• Experience with the following technologies: Postgres, Cassandra, Scripts (bash, Groovy, Python), nginx, Tomcat, AWS CodeArtifact, LDAP, Kafka
• Excellent technical, diagnostic, troubleshooting, and documentation skills
• Knowledge of portal software, design, and development
• US Citizenship for this position is required by law due to federal customer contracts
