Job description

Fusion is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join us in Woodbridge, NJ, helping build and scale the infrastructure behind our healthcare platform, someone who's as comfortable automating deployments as they are hardening CI/CD pipelines and keeping our systems reliable under real-world load. You'll work closely with our engineering team to keep things running smoothly and securely, while helping us raise the bar on how we ship software. If you like owning infrastructure end to end and care about doing it right in a space where reliability actually matters, we'd love to talk.
About Fusion Health
Most healthcare software is built for the easy cases. Fusion Health builds for the rest.
We support clinicians working in movement restricted communities, where care delivery is more complex and software reliability is critical. In these environments, systems need to work consistently because there is no room for failure. This has been our focus since 2006.
That is not an accident. It is who we hire.
Bryan Jakovcic(EY Entrepreneur of the Year) built this company and still personally interviews every single person who joins it. Because the people here are not a department or a headcount. They are the company. Fusion has been recognized by INC as one of the fastest-growing private companies in the United States for four consecutive years, including #8 in New Jersey and #38 in the NY Tri-State area, and by Deloitte on its Fast 500 list of fastest-growing technology companies in the United States. We are also proud to be certified as a Great Place to Work by Fortune!. That growth and recognition happened because the right people showed up and did something with it.
We are driven, self aware, and we own what we do. That is the culture. No more, no less.
If this is the kind of work you've been looking for, this is where you do the best work of your career.
What we offer:
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401K
  • Generous PTO

Our teams are based in Woodbridge, NJ and Topeka, KS. We operate in a hybrid environment.
What You'll Do:
This role is vital to our organization's mission and growth, and if selected, you'll work on the following challenging and interesting projects:
  • The IT DevOps team is vital to our organizations mission and growth
  • As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing, deploying, and managing secure, scalable cloud environments to support our Azure-based EHR solutions
  • You will lead cloud migration initiatives, develop CI/CD pipeline automation, and set Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices for client environments
  • Advanced Azure Tools & Feature Management: Implement and manage Azure components, including Application Gateway with IP whitelisting, App Container Services, Service Bus, Azure SQL, Data Factory, Logic Apps, and Traffic Manager
  • Configure environments for containerized applications, incorporating DevOps automation to streamline deployments
  • Infrastructure as Code & Automation: Develop and maintain IaC solutions using Terraform to enable repeatable, version-controlled infrastructure
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and management, including CI/CD pipeline configuration with GitLab, Octopus Deploy, and other DevOps tools
  • Monitoring, Security, & Compliance: Implement robust monitoring at the application, process, and resource levels to ensure high performance and security
  • Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure adherence to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices for data protection

Who You Are:
We believe in harnessing diverse talents and perspectives, and if you believe you have what it takes to excel in this role, we want to hear from you. We look forward to reviewing your application if you have the following qualifications and experience:
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 3-5+ years of Azure experience, with advanced skills in secure, optimized cloud architectures
  • While we are looking for the brightest minds around, ideal Fusionites should be strong problem solvers, be able to work independently, have great communication skills, and have a fun/energetic personality
  • This position requires a strong technical background in Azure, DevOps, and cloud security
  • Environment Configuration & Infrastructure Management: Design and build secure, best-practice Azure cloud environments with Resource Groups, VNETs, subnets, and autoscaling capabilities
  • Deploy and optimize IIS VMs with redundancy and autoscaling to meet high-performance demands

  • Champion knowledge sharing within the team and across departments, ensuring best practices are consistently applied
  • Skills in Application Gateway, App Container Services, Service Bus, Data Factory, Logic Apps, and Traffic Manager
