Imagine shaping the future of enterprise data infrastructure at Spectrum, where you’ll architect and lead advanced data engineering solutions that drive business intelligence. As a Principal Data Architect I, you will be the subject matter expert, guiding multiple programs and systems, and delivering innovative strategies to elevate data management. Your expertise will directly enhance operational efficiency and empower decision-making across the organization.


How You’ll Make an Impact   

  • Architect and implement data structures, models, and movement infrastructures to support enterprise data warehousing and master data management
  • Lead the deployment of data services and programming concepts, optimizing error handling, data manipulation, and I/O processing
  • Design, enhance, monitor, and troubleshoot requirements and architecture specifications for data warehousing and processing systems
  • Direct the Insights team to create and support comprehensive end-to-end data solutions across various platforms, domains, and locations
  • Oversee development of ETL processes and solutions aligned with Spectrum standards, ensuring consistent and global data integration
  • Mentor junior developers, vendors, consultants, and external partners to swiftly identify and resolve integration issues
  • Diagnose complex data engineering challenges and implement optimal resolutions to deliver quality results

What You’ll Bring to Spectrum   

Required Qualifications   

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Experience  

  • 8+ years of ETL experience
  • 6+ years of experience with SQL, Shell Script, Python, JSON
  • 5+ years of data integration experience
  • 5+ years of experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Alterx, Microstrategy
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience

Skills   

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Extensive experience building use cases and supporting data scientists and engineers
  • Extensive experience with data lake - all data sources - building out data sets for uses cases 
  • Expertise in building SQL/HIVE databases and tables
  • Proficient in querying and designing efficient warehousing structures
  • Deep knowledge of data access methods from relational databases using SQL
  • Hands-on experience with web services (WSDL Soap, Restful) for accessing data from multiple source systems
  • Strong understanding of FTP and sFTP protocols
  • Advanced skills in designing and architecting complex ETL processing and warehousing solutions
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities

Education

  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience with design, architecture, and leadership

The base pay for this position generally is between $110,800.00 and $196,400.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
