What You'll Do

Operating within the core values and operating principals of the organization, the Data Analyst III ensures that AAA Life Insurance makes effective business and operational decisions. As a Data Analyst, you will be at the forefront of transforming data into actionable insights. This role involves extracting, analyzing, and visualizing data to provide valuable recommendations that drive marketing strategies and decision-making.

  • Data Strategy & Analytics
    • Collects, cleans, and analyzes data across compliance functions (e.g., complaints, AML, advertising review, agent conduct, privacy, licensing).
    • Builds and maintains data dashboards, metrics, and reporting tools to monitor compliance performance and detect emerging risks.
    • Partners with IT and business teams to automate data extraction and reporting workflows
  • Compliance Risk Detection & Prevention
    • Develops analytics models and trend analyses to identify patterns of potential misconduct or non-compliance.
    • Supports root-cause analysis of compliance events and partners with business areas to implement corrective actions.
    • Designs and monitors Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for compliance oversight.
  • Reporting & Visualization
    • Prepares executive-level dashboards and board reports summarizing compliance trends and insights.
    • Presents findings in clear, compelling narratives that support strategic decision-making.
    • Ensures data accuracy, integrity, and alignment with corporate governance standards.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Collaborates with Legal, IT, Risk, and business partners to enhance the use of analytics in compliance monitoring.
    • Serves as a data liaison for regulatory exams, audits, and internal reviews.
    • Provides consultative analytics support for corporate initiatives and regulatory filings.
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement
    • Identifies opportunities to enhance efficiency through RegTech, automation, and predictive analytics.
    • Benchmarks compliance data practices against industry standards and best practices.
    • Supports the development of analytical capabilities across the Compliance team.

Basic Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience using data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and databases (e.g., SQL, Access)
  • Knowledge of insurance or financial compliance, regulatory reporting, or data governance preferred
  • LOMA or AIRC designations desirable

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business, or related field required; Master’s preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, compliance, internal audit, or risk management within financial services or insurance
